Videoed in Stanthorpe down by the creek, autumn is now with us with the welcoming of the cool weather. What a busy couple of months it has been, visiting many clubs and revisiting many more. Many people have been opening the door of service for others, and membership is increasing, which is a positive sign for our clubs.

Be sure to hold an information event if you haven't already, and invite friends and family, and people who have shown an interest - remember to reinvite people you may have asked in the past as they may be just ready to now get involved.

Last month, the district introduced the Community Service Impact Award. Nominations close soon (We have extended the close date to the 15th May) - if your club is doing great things in your community, nominate today! $1500 Prize.

Many Clubs are celebrating special milestones eg 60th anniversaries. If your club is holding a function and/or changeover, let us know the date, and we can add the details to the district calendar.

Each month our Cab Sec send out a checklist for clubs, with important information - Reminders, Service Ideas. This can be seen by all members go to the website > Member Resources > District Club Checklist - you'll find all the info a club and members need each month.

Support our farmers and western communities, you will find a unique opportunity for Lions members to show their support - check out the Over 50's banner.

There have been lots of training events happening over the past few weeks, including Guiding Lions, Lions Eye Health screening training... Plus loads of online training, and don't forget we have upcoming club officer development days, see links below.

Remember the Last Sunday of every month is the online Q&A on Zoom - it your way of connecting with the district and asking questions or just coming along to meet some fellow Lions - 6 pm THIS SUNDAY.
