I am excited to advise that Clubs have been embracing the Youth of the Year program giving the opportunity to hundreds of our youth - giving them the opportunity to encourage and foster leadership skills, and giving them the opportunity to emphasise qualities like contribution to the community and school, public speaking, academic skills, sporting and cultural involvement.
The Club Finals have now been completed and the winning contestants are getting ready to compete in the Region Finals being held over the weekend of Saturday 28th March and Sunday 29th March, 2026.
Upcoming dates for Youth of the Year Program Finals are as follows :-
- Regional Finals being held on either on Sat 28th March OR Sun 29th March, 2026;
- District Final being held on Sunday 19th April, 2026 - note the date change for this final
- State Final being held on Friday 1st May and Sat 2nd May, 2026 in Bundaberg, in District Q4
- National Final being held on Sunday 24th May, 2026 at the MD Convention in SA.
The YOTY District Final is being held on Sunday 19th April, 2026 - this is a daytime function (not an evening dinner) - register now, to see the fabulous contestants participate from the five YOTY Regions.
