Operation Friendship / Club Twinning

Duties / Objectives
  • Operation Friendship
  • Under the Lions Operation Friendship concept and along with the District Governor, arrange for a Lion from overseas to visit District 201Q1 and/or a Lion from our District to visit an overseas District.
  • On receipt of nominations, select to visit our District.
  • Arrange for the visit to coincide with a district convention.
  • Arrange with the visiting Lion to carry the National Flag of that country at the district convention and to speak at the Convention. (15 to 20 mins max)
  • Club Twinning
  • Promote the concept of “twinning” amongst Lions clubs. 
  • Assist clubs with the formalities associated with being a part of Lions Clubs International’s twinning program.
  • Identify which clubs are already in the “twinning” program, by keeping an up-to-date file.
  • Provide information and brochures obtained from LCI to clubs upon request.
