To every Lion who has joined a club during the 2025–2026 Lions year, welcome.

Thank you for making the decision to become part of something bigger than yourself. By joining Lions, you have become part of a worldwide family of volunteers who believe that communities are stronger when people step forward to serve.

As you begin your Lions journey, I encourage you to embrace every opportunity that comes your way. Attend meetings, volunteer for projects, share your ideas, and most importantly, build friendships. Some of your most rewarding experiences will come not only from the service you provide, but from the people you serve alongside.

Never underestimate the difference you can make. Every club needs new energy, new ideas, and new leaders. The future of Lions depends on members like you who are willing to get involved, take ownership, and help shape the direction of your club. Your voice matters, your contribution matters, and your enthusiasm can inspire others to join us in service.

Remember that Lions is not about recognition or titles. It is about serving for the right reasons — seeing a need and choosing to help, making someone's day a little brighter, and leaving your community better than you found it. When service comes from the heart, the impact is immeasurable.

My theme this year was "You Are The Key." You are the key to stronger clubs, the key to growing membership, the key to meaningful service, and the key to ensuring Lions continues to make a difference for generations to come.

I also have a personal request. If our paths cross during a club visit, zone meeting, district event, or convention, please take a moment to introduce yourself and let me know that you joined Lions during the 2025–2026 Lions year. It would be my privilege to meet you, thank you personally for your commitment to service, and hear about your Lions journey.
